Client Project-Farmhouse Entry and Dining Room

Hello, hello!  Summer is officially here (as in school is out for our kiddos), and we have been working hard on a few projects before the chaos ensues (hopefully not).  So we wanted to drop in and share a few new designs with you!

Today's design is for an entry/dining/sitting area that opens up to the clients' large kitchen.  It's a big space with pine wood clad walls and a stone-covered hearth.

Because this space will function as multiple things on multiple occasions, we kept the pieces classic and timeless but with a touch of "farm."  The kitchen cabinets will be painted in White Dove by Benjamin Moore, one of our favorite white cabinet colors, and the rest of the color scheme is neutral with touches of blue and green.  Of course, we also brought in lots of texture!

As you can see, we offered two options for the dining room seating and suggested slipcovers since the clients have kiddos themselves.  Aside from the wood bead Regina Andrew chandelier, the lamps on the entry table and rope hanging mirror are two of my personal favorites in the space.  I think I could put those Visual Comfort Thomas O'Brien lamps in every design I do and be happy.

Lighting is one of the largest ways to transform a space, and since the chandelier we suggested was a big buy, we also supplied some real life images of it so the clients could get a better idea of its look before pulling the trigger.  Even though this is an E-Design, we still want clients to feel as if they are out shopping with us!

So there's a little peek into our latest work and our process!  We'll be back soon with some more client designs to share with you guys!

Client Glam-Pham

It has been a while since we shared any of our projects. Thought I would share today some work we recently completed for our client Glam-Pham.

Client Glam-Pham was in the process of building a new home in Houston, Texas and reached out to us. She needed help with putting together a design for her master bedroom and office, as well as paint color suggestions for the entire house.  She wanted a soft glam aesthetic for both rooms. Our color palette consisted of soft blues, grays, and ivories. We mixed in a few metallics, along with luxurious textiles and a couple chandies of course! Here is what we came up with.

We can't wait to see progress pics and promise to share. In the mean time, we are really excited to be working on a design for her living room. It is going to be fabulous! A navy sofa may make its way into the room. Here is the color pallete we will be working with.

We will keep you posted.

Have a great weekend!

Client Project- Soothing Master Retreat

One of our recent clients made a move from Charleston, SC back to their home state of Alabama.  Their new home is absolutely stunning, but they felt that their old furnishings weren’t doing the new space justice.  They enlisted our help in their master bedroom where they wanted to create a comfortable retreat but were overwhelmed with never-ending choices.  We were so excited to help them make this space their own!

Keeping the space neutral with some coastal colors (the clients' favorite) worked in, we added some layers with textures and patterns and chose new furniture to better accommodate the space, adding a seating area in front of the big window wall.

Here's a before shot of the focal wall in the room:

And here's the "After" elevation of the same wall.  We added long, patterned curtains to accentuate the clients' new woven shades (not pictured above) and tall ceilings and used new layers of bedding, an upholstered bench and neutral rug to soften up all of the wood tones in the room.

Here is the final room plan.  We kept an overall muted palette for a soothing backdrop and added in some blues with artwork, fabrics and accessories.

Also included were a few styling options for the corner console and dresser.

We were thrilled with the final product and were so excited to receive this response from the client:

I LOVE it!  Beautiful, beautiful work.  And so professionally presented.  Best of all, I feel like I can take this plan and run with it - I can do it now that I know what I'm looking for!  Thank you both so much for an outstanding job.  I'm thrilled.

Feminine Office E-design

The e-design I am sharing with you today is a special one because it is for one of my besties!

Meet Carmen of Label Me Artsy, a fashionista living in Hawaii.  Recently, she and her husband purchased a new home and asked if I could help design an office for her. She requested an inspiring space that is both feminine and vibrant.

Immediately, I thought of this print that I love by Leigh Viner as inspiration for the room. It is very feminine and has a gorgeous color palette.

The overall look for the office was a bit tropical glam with emerald greens and blush pinks. Have a look.

It was a lot of fun working on this project. Even with the distance, Carmen in Hawaii and me in Florida, through our e-design service we were able to design a beautiful office that Carmen loves.

If you need help designing a room or just need help selecting a few pieces to finish off the look of a room, drop us a line. We work with all different project sizes and are currently working on an Ask My Designer service for those small design dilemmas.
